Six additional nights of work have been scheduled from Wednesday 6 March to Monday 11 March. Exactly the same road closure and diversion will be in place each night as for previously advertised works. Meeting of Biggar Community Council 15 Jan 2024 Venue: Biggar Library. Police Report 13/01/2024 Police update – 19/12/2023 – 13/01/2024 32 incidents were recorded for Biggar during this period. For comparison, in the same time period 186 calls were received for Lanark and 188 for Carluke. 6 crime reports were raised – these were in relation to Assault, Threatening Behaviour x 2, Theft and Communications Act x 2 From my analysis of incidents and crime reports there is nothing to indicate any specific trends that should cause any concerns to the local community. Please report any incidents to police by either phoning 101 or using the online reporting tool on the Police Scotland website. SLC are conducting sessions in the Municipal Hall Monday 29th Jan, Tues 30 Jan and Wednesday 32 Jan between 2pm and 7pm to explain various alternative proposals for the best use of the Biggar Public Park and Caravan Site. All are welcome to attend between these times and discuss matters with the SLC consultants.
