Heart for Art Exhibition 10th-24th May Onespace Community Hub is hosting the Heart For Art exhibition, showcasing work of artists from St Andrews Dementia Hub Carluke. Health and Wellbeing Workshops: Physical Activity Thursday 16th of May, 11am- 12pm The Clydesdale/ Hamilton Health Improvement Team are running the second of eight online health and wellbeing workshop sessions on Thursday 16th of May, 11am- 12pm. This upcoming workshop topic is physical activity, lasting 45- 60 minutes and aimed to help increase knowledge on physical activity and will cover the following learning objectives: Be aware of physical activity recommendations and how active we are; Be aware of the social determinants of health and how it impacts on physical activity behaviours; Have knowledge on the range of benefits from being physically active; Have ideas on what we can do or encourage others to do to increase physical activity. These sessions are aimed at those working or volunteering in Lanarkshire: Clydesdale Mental Health & Addictions Networking Event in Lanark 31st May The Clydesdale Mental Health & Addiction Network Group are hosting a staff networking event to raise awareness of available support services and resources in the Clydesdale locality. The event will take place on 31st of May from 9.30am (registration from 9am) to 12.30pm at St Nicholas Church Hall, Castlegate, Lanark, ML11 9DZ. The event will have table top discussions, information/resource sharing, networking and presentations from The Wise Group, NHSL Primary Care Mental Health Team, the GIVIT and the GOTO. Complete this link if you would like to attend. Motherwell 6-week programme of free yoga classes for parents of pre-school children. Motherwell Health Improvement Team in partnership with Health and Wellness Hub are running a 6-week programme of free yoga classes for parents of pre-school children. The programme is being funded by 'positive smoke free role model' funding. The parents in attendance will receive helpful messaging from NHS staff of how they can keep their child free from the harms of second hand smoke. The messaging will be delivered in a relaxed environment and will allow parents to ask questions. Springboard are delivering a 3 week course with a 1 week placement in Glasgow City Centre (venue to be confirmed) starting on the 20th of May. See the leaflet attached or check it out here.
