This will be our last Health Improvement Bulletin of 2022 until the week commencing January 9th 2023. It is a team effort pulling these weekly bulletins together which we hope you find useful and we appreciate you sharing them with colleagues and partners. If there are items you would like us to share in future bulletins, please just let us know. On behalf of both the Hamilton and Clydesdale locality teams, thank you all for your ongoing support throughout 2022 and we wish you a Merry Christmas and healthy, happy and safe New Year as we look forward to working together again in 2023. NHS Lanarkshire Psychological Services digital resources Highlight in the attached document are the online supports provided by NHSL Psychology Services for sharing onwards. The key resource is the Lanarkshire Mind Matters website which has a comprehensive source of high quality free resources, including wellbeing information and a wide range of links, including to multiple online therapeutic courses. Kooth – Online Mental Health and Wellbeing Support for Children & Young People in Scotland Kooth is a mental health and counselling service for young people aged 10-18 up 26 if care experienced. See the attached document for information on the service and webinar service introduction dates for young people, carers and professionals. Some of the things included on Kooth are helpful articles, safe discussion boards, live chat with the team and daily journals. If anyone is interested, we have cards, leaflets and posters available promoting Kooth. Well Connected Programme Well Connected is Lanarkshire's social prescribing programme. Well Connected makes it easy for people to take part in and benefit from activities and services that we know can improve well-being. Well Connected is for people who may be experiencing symptoms of stress or low mood, but also for people who feel that they would like to feel better in themselves and their life. Well Connected App is free to download on the App Store & Google Play Store, just search for Well Connected Lanarkshire. Mental Health Support - Lanarkshire Keep safe There is a helpful list of resources and support with contact details to be found in the attached flyer, from GPs to online help. Warm Welcome at places across South Lanarkshire A network has been established, providing venues that will be warm and where a range of supports and activities can be accessed in the coming Winter months. Warm Welcome locations include libraries, leisure facilities and a number of volunteer and community groups.
