The Positive Smoke Free Role Model Project – Community Links South Lanarkshire Children living in an area where smoking is prevalent means they are more likely to be affected by the harms of second-hand smoke. Evidence suggests that children who grow up in environments where smoking is the norm are more likely to become smokers themselves – creating the next generation of smokers. This project doesn’t ask people to stop smoking, but instead, we ask that people make small positive changes in their daily live, helping to create a healthier environment for children and young people to grow up in. The PSFRM project aims to reduce the visibility of smoking within the community, by asking people to pledge to become positive smoke free role models – whether they smoke or not. Pledge to make your home a smoke free zone or to talk to your children about the negative impact of smoking and second-hand smoke. Take the pledge today! For more information contact [email protected] or visit https://www.communitylinkssl.co.uk/psfrm.html Module to Support Pregnant Women to Quit Smoking NHS Lanarkshire’s Quit Your Way service offers free, specialist support to pregnant women, their partners and families who want to quit smoking.
