The Hamilton & Clydesdale Health Improvement Locality Team are delivering a series of health and wellbeing workshops each lasting around an hour. All staff and partners are free to join the workshops which are designed to help raise awareness on each topic, while signposting to information, resources and further learning opportunities. We have arts and crafts, messy play, and lots of books for you to enjoy. The activities are aimed at families with children 0-4 years old. No booking necessary and entry is free! Care and Repair – Repairs & Advice Service The Repairs & Advice Service is for Lanarkshire residents over the age of 60 or of any age living with a disability or life limiting illness. Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Logo Competition – closes 21st February CAMHS are working on their "CAMHS Identity" and have worked closely with Art & Design Students, completing a Graphic Design module, at New Lanarkshire College to design a new CAMHS Logo. Vote on between the 8 logos. Refugee Festival Scotland Fund – closes 5th March The Refugee Festival Scotland Small Grants Fund is for groups and organisations that are run by people from refugee backgrounds, or support people seeking safety. Small grants of up to £500 will be awarded to help organisations across Scotland cover the cost of running events and activities as part of the festival. Alcohol Advertising Consultation – closes 9th March Restricting alcohol marketing is identified as one of the most cost-effective measures that WHO recommends to prevent and reduce alcohol-related harm. The Scottish Government has set out a potential approach for Scotland in their published consultation paper. This is an opportunity to put people's right to health before company profits and change how alcohol is marketed and promoted in Scotland by supporting calls for restrictions. Stigma Free Lanarkshire Dates Please share onwards the upcoming dates for the Stigma Free Lanarkshire: Understanding Mental Health Stigma workshop, a 90-minute session interactive workshop raising awareness around stigma and discrimination.
