Due to concerns surrounding Coronavirus, Biggar Community Council will not be holding its regular monthly meetings until further notice. These meetings are very important because members of the public are welcome to come along to ensure that any discussions and decisions are transparent and fairly reached. Especially important are decisions surrounding the micro-grants which are administered by BCC. We want to ensure that we can continue to make these grants available. For this reason, BCC has agreed that it will temporarily invoke article 10 and suspend articles 7 and 8 of its Core Standing Orders - ONLY for micro-grant application discussion and decisions. This will mean that decisions can be made by members of BCC outwith a public meeting. The same level of consideration of the applications and the same voting conditions will apply. BCC administers 3 Microgrants. Details of these can be found on the Grants page of our website. If you think you, or an organisation you are involved with, has a project which could benefit from a micro-grant then please read the guidance notes before completing the form and returning to us. Note: Core Standing Orders can be read by clicking on the link at the bottom of the "Minutes and Meetings" page of our website.
