The aim of the strategy is to set the future direction for the Council’s approach to the development and upkeep of the transport infrastructure within South Lanarkshire. The strategy will set how the Council will contribute to the delivery of the obligations set out in the National and Regional Transport Strategies and other key policy drivers. Transport policies and actions will be developed, and indicators identified to monitor the progress made by the Council on these actions. In the initial stages of strategy development, AECOM is seeking to understand the key problems, issues and opportunities relating to transport and travel across South Lanarkshire. This information will be used to shape the vision statement, objectives, indicators and options for the strategy, ultimately setting the strategic direction for transport investment and policy in South Lanarkshire for the next 10 years. AECOM and South Lanarkshire Council invite you to provide feedback via an online survey which can be accessed using the following link. https://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/info/200230/public_and_community_transport/2164/local_transport_strategy_2024-2034 The survey will be available to complete between Tuesday 18 July and Friday 1 September 2023. Paper copies of the survey can be requested by emailing [email protected] with LTS as the email subject.
